Systems that we build with the OWIS Standard Components on vibration-damped granite tables allow precise positioning of large-area samples. Travels of up to 1.5 m with a repeatability of less than 2 µm can be realized that way!

4-axis gantry on granite
The design of this gantry structure on granite, consisting of positioning units of the LIMES series, enables the parallelization of the measuring task in industrial use. Therefore, an additional axis has been added for sample positioning with consistent positioning accuracy.
Mounted on a granite block, the gantry enables vibration-damped measurements - ideal for automatic optical inspections (AOI) of large-area or even heavy test objects. The test object remains stationary, the measuring head is positioned in x-y direction and optionally in z-direction.
ACHIEVE HIGHER EFFICIENCY WITH PARALLELIZATION
By adding further axes to the gantry, we enable the exact z-positioning of measuring heads, dosing devices or grippers. In doing so, we can plan and configure parallelization of the processes with several y- or z-axes.
In combination with our motor controller and a joystick, we offer a plug-and-play solution that can be operated directly as a stand-alone system or with our OWISoft, a software solution for simple and fast automation of positioning processes.
