Free positioning on up to 9 axes
With the help of the multi-axis systems developed by OWIS Engineering, the workpiece, tool or laser can be positioned freely in space.
With our standard components and their combinability, we realize multi-axis systems for a wide variety of applications - always optimally aligned to the workpiece and the machining process.
The combination of two high-precision LIMES series linear stages and a HUMES lift table allows exact sample positioning in three axes. This system is designed for large loads and can be used for workpiece positioning in laser processing systems.
Highest accuracy for laser processing: The aligned and calibrated combination of LIMES 84 linear stages and DMT 100 rotary stages with measuring system allows precise positioning of workpieces with 5 degrees of freedom at a working volume of approx. 100 x 100 x 100 mm.
This 5-axis setup consisting of linear, elevator and rotary stages as well as goniometers enables the automated alignment of laser optics for line lasers. Details can be found in our application report.application report

9 axes with full CNC functionality
For the control of the 9 axes we offer the OWIS control software (OWISoft) or combine our positioning systems with controls of other manufacturers and thus realize the complete CNC functionality!
